Crack Pie


Have you ever had it? I purchased one, intrigued, from a little bakery in Montrose for our little Thanksgiving Friday cocktail party. The description at the bakery read "Crack Pie: like pecan pie without the nuts."

But it was so much more than that. Like a well-baked yet tender pie made of dulce de leche, buttery crust and sprinkled with powdered sugar, for even more extravagance!

Turns out, the NY part of the pie name is part of the provenance - as Momofuku was the first to offer Crack Pie. Bake one and get addicted too. XO
